Shake Shack Deal
Shake Shack Scary Good Deals: Free Burgers This Week (October 2026)
If you have been searching for the best fast food deals right now, Shake Shack just gave you three answers. Through the rest of October 2026, the burger chain is running a stacked lineup of free-burger offers: a free Angus beef cheeseburger with a qualifying order this week, a free single Shackburger with a qualifying order starting October 19, and an ongoing Sunday-only code that scores you a free Chicken Shack. All three are claimable through the app, online ordering, or the in-store kiosk, and each one kicks in on a $10 minimum purchase.

The details were reported by Eat Drink Deals on October 15, 2026 (see their Shake Shack coupons and specials roundup), which tracks the chain’s rotating promotions. Here is the full breakdown of what is live, when it runs, and how to get every free burger.
| Deal | Minimum Order | Valid Dates | How to Order |
|---|---|---|---|
| FREE Angus beef cheeseburger | $10+ order | Oct 12-18, 2026 | App, online, or kiosk |
| FREE single Shackburger | $10+ order | Oct 19-31, 2026 | App, online, or kiosk |
| FREE Chicken Shack with code SHACKSUNDAY | $10 purchase | Sundays (ongoing) | App, online, or kiosk |
Two things stand out. First, the offers are stacked back to back, so there is effectively a free-burger deal running every day from October 12 through October 31. Second, Shake Shack rarely gives burgers away this aggressively, which makes this one of the strongest limited-time fast food promotions of the month. If you are weighing your burger options this October, our Five Guys vs Shake Shack comparison breaks down how the two chains compare on price, menu, and value.
How to Claim
Claiming each deal takes less than a minute. The process is the same across all three offers, with one extra step for the Sunday code.
1. Place your order through the Shake Shack app, on the Shake Shack website, or at an in-store kiosk. Build your cart to at least $10 before tax.
2. For the October 12-18 window, the free Angus beef cheeseburger offer applies automatically to qualifying orders. No code needed.
3. For the October 19-31 window, the free single Shackburger applies the same way. Just hit the $10 minimum and the burger is added.
4. On Sundays, enter the code SHACKSUNDAY at checkout on a $10 purchase to get the free Chicken Shack. The code must be applied before you pay, so double check that it shows up on your order summary.
5. Complete checkout and pick up your order. The free item appears as a separate line on your receipt.
Tip: you can use the kiosk in the restaurant if you do not want to download the app. The kiosk has the same promotional pricing and accepts the Sunday code.
Terms and Exclusions
As with any limited-time fast food deal, the fine print matters. Here is what to keep in mind before you order.
The free-burger offers are valid at participating Shake Shack locations only. Availability can vary by restaurant, and delivery-only or third-party orders may not qualify. These promotions are designed for direct orders through Shake Shack’s own channels: the app, the website, or the in-store kiosk.
Each deal applies to one free item per order. You cannot stack the free cheeseburger or free Shackburger with the Sunday Chicken Shack code in a single transaction. Each offer must be redeemed in its own valid window: the cheeseburger runs October 12 through October 18, and the Shackburger runs October 19 through October 31. The SHACKSUNDAY code is only valid on Sundays.
The $10 minimum is measured before tax and fees. If your subtotal dips below $10 after removing an item, the free burger will not apply. Prices vary by location, so the exact total that hits the threshold may differ slightly from market to market.
Offers cannot be combined with most other discounts, coupons, or loyalty redemptions on the same order. Shake Shack may end or modify the promotions early, so it pays to use them sooner in the window rather than later.
FAQ
What is the Shake Shack free burger deal in October 2026?
Shake Shack is offering a free Angus beef cheeseburger with any $10 or more order from October 12 to 18, 2026, followed by a free single Shackburger with a $10 or more order from October 19 to 31, 2026. Separately, the code SHACKSUNDAY gets you a free Chicken Shack with a $10 purchase every Sunday. All three offers are redeemable through the Shake Shack app, the website, or an in-store kiosk.
Do I need a promo code for the free cheeseburger and Shackburger?
No code is required for the two weekly free-burger offers. They apply automatically to qualifying orders of $10 or more placed through the app, online, or kiosk during each valid date window. The Sunday deal is the exception: you must enter the code SHACKSUNDAY at checkout to receive the free Chicken Shack.
Can I use the SHACKSUNDAY code on a day other than Sunday?
No. The SHACKSUNDAY code is valid on Sundays only. If you try to enter it on another day, it will not apply. Plan your order for Sunday if you want the free Chicken Shack, and note that it requires a $10 purchase.
Can I combine the free burger with other Shake Shack deals?
Each free-burger offer is limited to one per order and cannot be stacked with the other offers in a single transaction. They also generally cannot be combined with other discounts, coupons, or loyalty redemptions on the same order. Only participating locations honor these promotions, and third-party delivery orders are typically excluded.
Final Take
From October 12 through October 31, 2026, Shake Shack is effectively running a free-burger deal every single day: a cheeseburger this week, a Shackburger next, and a Chicken Shack every Sunday with the code SHACKSUNDAY. The $10 minimum keeps the barrier low, and ordering through the app, website, or kiosk makes redemption simple. Just remember that each offer lives in its own date window, the Sunday deal needs its code, and participating locations may vary. Get in early in each window, because Shake Shack promotions this generous do not stick around for long.
