Friendly’s Deal
Friendly’s: Kids in Costume Eat Free on Halloween (October 2026)
Friendly’s is treating families to one of the simplest Halloween deals of the season: on Saturday, October 31, 2026, kids in costume eat free. Every adult entree purchase comes with one free kids meal, as long as the child shows up in costume. The offer is valid at all Friendly’s locations, which makes it one of the easiest Halloween freebies to claim this year.

Friendly’s is also running a Halloween costume contest that started October 17, 2026, where posting a costume photo and tagging Friendly’s enters you for a chance to win a $200 gift card. Here is how both offers work.
Deal Details
| Deal | What’s Included | Price | Valid |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free Kids Meal on Halloween | One free kids meal with the purchase of an adult entree; child must be in costume | Free | Saturday, October 31, 2026 only |
| Halloween Costume Contest | Post a costume photo and tag Friendly’s for a chance to win a $200 gift card | Free to enter | Started October 17, 2026* |
The Halloween free kids meal works on a simple one-for-one structure: one adult entree purchase earns one free kids meal. Bring your child in costume to any Friendly’s on Saturday, October 31, order an adult entree for yourself, and the kids meal is on the house. There is no coupon to clip and no promo code to enter, according to the announcement. The costume is effectively your ticket, so make sure your child is wearing it when you arrive and when you order.
For parents, the value is obvious. Halloween night is usually a blur of candy, costumes, and chaos, and dinner is often an afterthought squeezed in before trick-or-treating. Friendly’s is positioning itself as the pre-candy dinner stop: you pay for the adult entree, the kids meal is free, and everyone leaves full. It also helps that Friendly’s is a family restaurant through and through, famous for its ice cream sundaes, so the kids are unlikely to complain about the venue.
The second offer, the Halloween costume contest, is completely separate from the meal deal, and you can do both. Post a costume photo on social media, tag Friendly’s, and you are entered for a chance to win a $200 gift card. The contest started October 17, 2026, so entries are already open. A $200 gift card goes a long way at a family restaurant, so if your kid’s costume is a showstopper, it is worth the thirty seconds to post it.
Timing matters here. The free kids meal is a one-day-only offer on Halloween itself, which is typical of the best Halloween restaurant deals: chains use costume freebies to pull families in on the holiday, then the offer vanishes. Google Trends shows “halloween restaurant deals” rising by roughly 90 percent this October, which means interest is high and tables could be competitive. Planning ahead beats hoping for a walk-in.
One practical note: while the announcement says the deal is valid at all Friendly’s locations, Halloween night can mean unusual hours or big crowds at any family restaurant. A quick call to your local Friendly’s to confirm they are participating and to ask about wait times is a smart move before you load the kids into the car in full costume.
How to Claim This Deal
On Saturday, October 31, 2026, bring your costumed child to any Friendly’s location. Order an adult entree, then order the kids meal and let your server apply the Halloween deal. Because the child must be in costume, keep the costume on through ordering. Double-check your check before you pay to make sure the kids meal came off the bill.
To enter the costume contest, post a costume photo on your social media account and tag Friendly’s. The contest began October 17, 2026, and it runs separately from the Halloween night meal deal. Follow Friendly’s official accounts for the full entry rules, deadlines, and winner announcements, since all prize details are handled through their channels.
Terms and Exclusions
The free kids meal is valid only on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at all Friendly’s locations, and only when the child is in costume. It is one free kids meal per adult entree purchased, so a party with two kids will need two adult entrees. Whether the deal applies to dine-in only or also to takeout was not specified in the announcement, so check with your local restaurant if you were planning takeout. The announcement also did not mention combining the deal with other coupons, so ask your server about stacking if you have another offer in hand.
For the costume contest, entry is free: post a costume photo and tag Friendly’s. Only entries that follow the official rules qualify, so read the rules on Friendly’s official social pages before posting. The $200 gift card prize and winner selection are handled by Friendly’s. Do not share personal information anywhere except through their official channels.
