Dickey’s birthday celebration
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is celebrating its 85th anniversary this October, and the birthday bash comes with deals for the whole family. The headline offer is the Halloween weekend free kids meal, running October 30 through November 1, 2026, with a $15+ adult purchase for dine-in guests. Add the costume perk and the all-month Birthday Combo, and October is one of the cheapest months of the year to eat at Dickey’s.
The chain’s Big Yellow Cup is something of a cult item among barbecue fans, so getting one free just for showing up in costume is a fun Halloween bonus. Meanwhile, the $8.85 Birthday Combo nods to the 85 years Dickey’s has been smoking brisket and ribs, and it is available all October long through the app.
Deal Details
The Halloween free kids meal deal runs October 30 through November 1, 2026. During that window, a free kids meal comes with an adult purchase of $15 or more, and the offer is for dine-in guests. It covers the full Halloween weekend, so families can use it on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
Costumed guests get their own perk: a free Big Yellow Cup with any purchase when you come in wearing your Halloween costume. There is no minimum purchase beyond buying something, which makes it an easy add-on to any order during the Halloween stretch.
All October long, the $8.85 Birthday Combo is available in the Dickey’s app. The price marks the chain’s 85th anniversary, and ordering it through the app is the way to claim it. It is a month-long value play that runs independently of the Halloween weekend offers.
| Deal Item | Price / Offer | Validity |
|---|---|---|
| Free kids meal with $15+ adult purchase (dine-in) | Free kids meal | October 30 to November 1, 2026 |
| Free Big Yellow Cup with any purchase (in costume) | Free cup | Halloween period, costume required |
| $8.85 Birthday Combo (85th anniversary, in the app) | $8.85 | All of October 2026 |
Stacking these deals takes a little planning but pays off. A family could dine in on Halloween weekend with the $15+ adult purchase unlocking the free kids meal, wear costumes to score the free Big Yellow Cup with the order, and still grab the $8.85 Birthday Combo through the app during October for a separate visit. Each offer stands on its own, so you can use whichever fits your plans.
How to Claim
For the free kids meal, dine in at a participating Dickey’s Barbecue Pit between October 30 and November 1, 2026, and make an adult purchase of $15 or more. The free kids meal should be applied to your dine-in order; ask your server if it does not appear automatically.
For the free Big Yellow Cup, simply come in wearing a Halloween costume and make any purchase. Show up in costume, place your order, and the cup comes free with it. It is the easiest of the three offers to claim, since there is no spending threshold.
For the $8.85 Birthday Combo, open the Dickey’s app during October 2026 and look for the Birthday Combo offer. Add it to your order through the app and check out. The anniversary pricing is an app exclusive, so it will not show at the counter without the app order.
Terms and Exclusions
The free kids meal requires an adult purchase of $15 or more and is valid for dine-in only, from October 30 through November 1, 2026. The $15 threshold is based on the adult purchase total, and the offer is limited to participating locations.
The free Big Yellow Cup requires a costume and any purchase. It is tied to the Halloween period, so the costume requirement is the key condition; without the costume, the cup is not free. Supplies of the cup may be limited at high-traffic locations during the Halloween weekend.
The $8.85 Birthday Combo is available all October 2026 through the Dickey’s app as part of the chain’s 85th anniversary celebration. App availability and menu participation can vary by location. As with all of the chain’s promotions, offers are subject to the standard terms and can change at the restaurant’s discretion.
